Erik returns to MTOC after last year’s “Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat”. Erik’s first musical theater endeavor began as composer for “The Golden Dream”, written by Joe Syiek and directed by Stephen Reifenstein. Other shows Erik has worked on as either writer, arranger and/or musical director include: “Oklahoma”, “Once Upon a Mattress”, “Urinetown”, “A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum”, Shirley Orlando’s “Surf City, USA!”, “The Last Five Years”, “Little Shop of Horrors”, “Music Man”, “The Wiz”, “You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown”, “Opal”, “High School Musical”, Joseph Mulroy’s “Born To Ride The Waves”, and his most recent original musical, “A Song for Christmas”.

Under his production company name, Pretzyl Music, he continues to make his living as a songwriter/producer for various clients and musicians, a private piano and theory instructor, piano accompanist for the Waldorf School in Orange County, St. Timothy’s in Laguna Niguel and Our Lady of Mt. Carmel in Newport Beach, and keyboardist for the critically acclaimed new band, “Natusol” (which will be performing at this year’s Orange County Fair every Sunday at 8pm!)
