Mitch Atkins - Artistic Director
As co-founder and President of Musical Theatre Orange County, Mitch is realizing a dream of instilling a love for live theatre into the youth of our community. Mitch recently started a new position at Knott’s Berry Farm as Director of Production. Prior to Knott's, Mitch was with the Disneyland Resort for over 28 years most recently as Senior Technical Director. In his time there, he worked on diverse projects such Frozen Live at the Hyperion, Fantastic!, Parade of Dreams, Electrical Parade, Haunted Mansion Holiday, ElecTRONica, Aladdin The Musical Spectacular, Celebrate!, and many others. Prior to, and during this time Mitch also continued to nurture his love for theatre with his outside role as Technical Director with various community theaters, including lighting design duties for over 50 productions. Mitch’s theatre experience goes back to Junior High School where he began working in technical theatre. Mitch and his wife Lori are both natives of Orange County, California and have raised their four children in the city of Orange.

Lori Atkins - Producer
Lori is co-founder and Executive Producer of Musical Theatre Orange County. Lori has produced numerous shows for MTOC during the past 14 years. Some of her favorites include: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Seussical, Disney's Beauty and the Beast, and Disney's Tarzan. In addition, she has organized and produced talent shows and has been involved in various community theaters in a variety of capacities for the past twenty years. She has managed everything from box office, back office, costumes, scenery and anything else that needs to be done. A recent proud moment was producing the beautiful original production of ECC's "Journey to Christmas". She has also enjoyed a bit of time on "the boards" herself with favorite roles such as Aunt Tilly ("It's a Wonderful Life") and Ethel Toffelmier ("The Music Man"). With success in many entrepreneurial endeavors which include owning her own Collectibles Business, event coordinating and several years as a licensed Cosmetologist, her proudest accomplishments to date are……being a wife, mother and now "nana".

Britany Callahan - Director
Britany is honored to be returning as Director for this summer's production of Tarzan. She has filled many roles in her over 20 years of being involved with live theatre including stage manager, vocal director, scenic painter, make-up designer, and assistant costumer. Other credits: The Little Mermaid (Director), Beauty & The Beast (Vocal Director), Mary Poppins (Vocal Director).
As a performer, some of her favorite roles include Tracy (Hairspray), Annie Oakley (Annie Get Your Gun) and Dorothy (The Wizard of Oz). Britany is a graduate of Chapman University with a B.A. in Theatre Technology. She worked at the Disneyland Resort for 8 years in Stage Management, calling shows such as Aladdin, World of Color, Red Car News Boys, Mad T Party, and Disney Junior, as well as numerous events. She now freelances as a stage manager, vocal instructor and piano teacher. She is a co-founder of MTOC Studio and instructs various classes there (Musical Theatre Showcase, A Capella, Music Theory). Britany grew up surrounded by music, constantly playing the piano and singing with her siblings. She hopes to instill the same love of music and theatre in her young son, Declan. Much love and thanks to her husband Luke for supporting her in this endeavor!

Nom-l Brown - Choreographer
Nom-L Brown has experience teaching and choreographing for: Lula Washington Dance Theater, Third street Dance, Dance Evolutions, Dancin’ in Acton, Cedar Performing Arts Academy, Shiva’s Dance Fitness, Hamma’s dance center, International Dance Fitness, AV Dance fitness as well as taking on the Performing Company Director position for Extensions Performing Arts Academy. He also choreographed and danced on tour for Disney Recording Artist “Anna Margaret”. Nom-L has also taught Zumba fitness, choreographed for Quinceneras and coached dance teams for Golden Valley, Pete Knight, Quartz hill, and many other High schools.

Kristin Smith - Music Director
Kristin graduated from Vanguard University of Southern California with a Bachelor of Music in Education and minor in Religion. Her time at Vanguard had supplied her with a wealth of information and opportunities, and was honored to be accepted and graduate as one of the first in their B.M. degree. As a part of the Vanguard Women’s Choir, Kristin toured throughout Northern California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada and Arizona performing at numerous venues. She has also had the privilege of singing at Segerstrom Center for Performing Arts several times, and the Lincoln Center in New York. Upon graduating Kristin was extremely grateful to receive the “Outstanding Music Education Award”, and graduated with honors. Recently she helped with the conception of Eastside Christian Church’s “Journey to Christmas” where she also played the role of Mary. She would love to thank all of the amazing teachers in her life that have poured their heart and soul into their jobs and have taught her so much more than simply notes on a page. Music is a way of living and I hope to inspire my students the way that I have been inspired by my teachers. She has taught private vocal and piano lessons for over five years, and has also been in over thirty productions. Some of her favorite roles include Gertrude McFuzz (Seussical The Musical), Dorothy (The Wizard of Oz), and Diane (Anne of Green Gables).

Evelyn Perez - Costume Designer
Evelyn is thrilled to be working with MTOC in her theatrical costume design debut! She studied Fashion Design at Fullerton College and graduated in 2005. In a twist of fate, shortly before graduation, her Instructor recommended Evelyn for a Costume Design Internship with Disney and she fell in love with it. She has for worked in Disney Entertainment & Operational Costuming for 12 years; 8 of which was spent bringing to life many recognizable Disney Characters for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, Disney Live stage shows, & Disney On-Ice. Disney has allowed her countless opportunities to feature her work through special projects including Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week- Mexico City & Vogue Magazine- Russia. It’s not work when you love what you do! Evelyn has always had a passion for creating new things. To quote Disney, “It’s kind of fun to do the impossible!”
