Mitch Atkins - Artistic Director
As co-founder and President of Musical Theatre Orange County, Mitch is realizing a dream of instilling a love for live theatre into the youth of our community. Mitch has been with the Disneyland Resort for over 26 years, the last 14 as a Technical Director with Disney Creative Entertainment on such diverse projects as Haunted Mansion Holiday, Electrical Parade, Fantasmic!, Parade of Dreams, Celebrate!, ElecTRONica, Mad T Party, Aladdin and now Frozen - Live at the Hyperion. He has also occasionally stepped in as an Entertainment Producer, and was recently promoted to Principal Technical Director with Creative Entertainment for the Disneyland Resort. Prior to, and during this time Mitch also continued to nurture his love for theatre with his outside role as Technical Director with various community theatre’s including lighting design duties for over 50 productions. Christmas 2014, Mitch and his family were honored to create and produce “Journey to Christmas”, an original production for Eastside Christian Church.Mitch’s theatre experience goes back to Junior High School where he began working in technical theatre. He has since tried his hand at acting a few times as well.Mitch and his wife Lori are both natives of Orange County, California and have raised their four children in the city of Orange.

Lori Atkins - Producer
Lori is co-founder and Executive Producer of Musical Theatre Orange County. Lori has produced numerous shows for MTOC during the past 14 years. Some of her favorites include: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat, Seussical, Disney's Beauty and the Beast, and Disney's Tarzan. In addition, she has organized and produced talent shows and has been involved in various community theaters in a variety of capacities for the past twenty years. She has managed everything from box office, back office, costumes, scenery and anything else that needs to be done. A recent proud moment was producing the beautiful original production of ECC's "Journey to Christmas". She has also enjoyed a bit of time on "the boards" herself with favorite roles such as Aunt Tilly ("It's a Wonderful Life") and Ethel Toffelmier ("The Music Man"). With success in many entrepreneurial endeavors which include owning her own Collectibles Business, event coordinating and several years as a licensed Cosmetologist, her proudest accomplishments to date are……being a wife, mother and now "nana".

Britany Callahan - Director
Britany is thrilled to be making her debut as Director while working with such an accomplished and wonderful team. She has filled many roles in her over 20 years of being involved with live theatre including stage manager, vocal director, scenic painter, make-up designer, and assistant costumer.
As a performer, some of her favorite roles include Tracy (Hairspray), Annie Oakley (Annie Get Your Gun) and Dorothy (The Wizard of Oz). Britany is a graduate of Chapman University with a B.A. in Theatre Technology. She worked at the Disneyland Resort for 8 years in Stage Management, calling shows such as Aladdin, World of Color, Red Car News Boys, Mad T Party, and Disney Junior, as well as numerous events. She now freelances as a stage manager, vocal director and piano teacher. This past Fall, she helped open MTOC Studio and instructs various classes there (Musical Theatre Showcase, A Capella, Music Theory). In previous summers, Britany and her sister Kristin teamed up as Music Directors for MTOC's Mary Poppins and Beauty & The Beast. Britany grew up surrounded by music, constantly playing the piano and singing with her siblings. She hopes to instill the same love of music and theatre in her young son, Declan. Much love and thanks to her husband Luke for supporting her in this endeavor!

Karie Seasock - Choreographer
Karie Seasock is thrilled to be returning to MTOC as the choreographer for The Little Mermaid! Her recent choreography credits include Beauty and the Beast (MTOC), Grease (OCCT), Aida (Sage), Wizard of Oz (Edison H.S.), 12 Dancing Princesses  (BOT), and Joseph... (Marina H.S.). Karie is also the resident choreographer for the Pacifica High School show choir. She can currently be seen performing around the Disneyland Resort and Knott's Berry Farm. She can also be seen dancing on the Disney Channel. Karie spent six years performing in the Radio City Rockettes Christmas Spectacular. She also teaches dance classes at the Orange County Song and Dance company in Huntington Beach. Karie has her BA in Drama from the University of California, Irvine.

Josiah Domingez - Assistant Choreographer
Josiah is excited to be working with MTOC for the first time! Josiah began performing as a clog dancer, but he was always hungry for more. Eager to learn, he began training at Ovation School for the Performing Arts to learn all styles of dance. Then left for Vanguard University to pursue a Bachelors Degree in Theater.  His choreography and assistant choreography credits include: Kiss Me Kate, Suessical the Musical, My Son Pinocchio, James and the Giant Peach, The Miss Fontana Peagent, The Beat Goes On, Home for the Holidays, and musical theatre review workshops. When not working in shows Josiah teaches Tap and Hip-Hop at Ovation School for the Performing arts. He even started a hip-hop team for young adults with special needs. He believes that anyone with a passion and heart to dance, should be given the opportunity to do so. No matter the disability.

Kevin Gasio - Music Director
Kevin Gasio is ecstatic to be making his MTOC debut with The Little Mermaid. Some recent credits as a director and musical director include Little Shop of Horrors, Hairspray, The Drowsy Chaperone, and two productions of The Addams Family. His most recent performance credit was singing in the choir for the Hunchback of Notre Dame with McCoy Rigby last fall. Kevin holds a bachelor’s degree in Music from Cal Poly Pomona and “pays the bills” as a singer, teacher, and graphic designer.

Dave Avanzino - Set Designer
Dave Avanzino is a scenic designer and fine artist living in the southern California area. Dave has worked with MTOC for a few years as both a Scenic Designer and Painter. His first project was painting the sets for “HAIRSPRAY” and then me moved on to designing and painting the sets for “TARZAN” and “MARY POPPINS.” His original set designs were featured in the published musicals FOUR TICKETS TO CHRISTMAS (Lillenas) and CHRISTMAS POST (Word). Dave is also a production designer for video and film. His work has been seen in the updated "JESUS FILM FOR CHILDREN" and also the version entitled, "MAGDALENE: RELEASED FROM SHAME." In addition, Dave also designs and creates numerous limited edition artwork for Disneyland, Walt Disney World and The Disney Cruise Line.

Evelyn Perez - Costume Designer
Evelyn is thrilled to be working with MTOC in her theatrical costume design debut! She studied Fashion Design at Fullerton College and graduated in 2005. In a twist of fate, shortly before graduation, her Instructor recommended Evelyn for a Costume Design Internship with Disney and she fell in love with it. She has for worked in Disney Entertainment & Operational Costuming for 12 years; 8 of which was spent bringing to life many recognizable Disney Characters for Walt Disney Parks & Resorts, Disney Live stage shows, & Disney On-Ice. Disney has allowed her countless opportunities to feature her work through special projects including Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week- Mexico City & Vogue Magazine- Russia. It’s not work when you love what you do! Evelyn has always had a passion for creating new things. To quote Disney, “It’s kind of fun to do the impossible!”

Destinee Nicholson - Make Up Designer
Destinee graduated this past spring from Cypress College with a Theatre Arts degree, as well as earned her Make-Up Certificate. Make-up has always been her passion, with a special affinity for blood/gore design and application. Her work has been seen in musical productions at Cypress College such as Jekyll & Hyde and Into the Woods. This past summer she had the fun challenge of designing and applying make-up for MTOC’s production of Disney’s Beauty & The Beast. In addition to musical theatre, Destinee has lent her talents to numerous small films such as “The Lover” and “Foxwood” for Ghost Party Pictures. During Halloween seasons, she has worked as a Special Effect Make-Up Artist for the 17th Door Haunted House, as well as the Blood Offering Maze that was featured at the Scarela Halloween Convention.
